Folks interested in managing healthcare supply chains in the developing world using basic mobile phones should visit Washington D.C. next week — where Ryan McWhorter participates in a panel discussion at the 2012 mHealth Summit. Logistimo was chosen as a technology leader for managing complex logistical problems in low-resource settings, so he will share some of our healthcare-specific experiences in small hospitals, rural clinics and remote health centers across India and Africa. Logistimo is now being applied to intelligently coordinate the flow of ARVs, vaccines, blood, essential medicines and consumable supplies where they are critically needed.
Finally, Ryan will also give a brown bag lunch (BBL) presentation at John Snow, Inc.’s offices across the Potomac in Rosslyn, Virginia. We encourage our friends at the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT, and SCMS to check it out!
